Employers with 100 or fewer Massachusetts employees are reimbursed up to 100% of a course through the Workforce Training Fund Express Program. Four steps. We do most of the paperwork. Check whether you qualify.
- The one-minute check, on our first call. You pay unemployment insurance the contributory way. Every nonprofit chose one of two methods when it registered with the state, contributory or reimbursable; your finance office knows which, and UI Online shows it. Only the contributory method pays into the Workforce Training Fund. You have 100 or fewer W-2 employees in Massachusetts and a Massachusetts address. If the answer is no, we tell you before anything is booked.
- Three documents you already have or can get in a day.A Certificate of Good Standing from the Department of Revenue (MassTaxConnect). A Certificate of Compliance from the Department of Unemployment Assistance (UI Online). Your W-9.
- The application, about twenty minutes, online. We send you every course detail filled in: the course number, the hours, the dates, the price a seat. You submit at commcorp.formtitan.com. Your agreement starts 21 days after you submit, and the course start date you name can be up to six months from the day you submit.
- You pay us after the course. The state pays you back.We invoice, you pay, and you submit the reimbursement form with the list of trainees, our invoice and proof of payment. We prepare that packet for you. Training must finish within 12 months of your agreement date, and staff are paid their regular rate for the hours.
The four-hour course, Establishing Organizational Context While Maintaining Confidentiality, is $600 a seat, within the program's caps ($300 an instructional hour, $3,000 an employee a course, $15,000 a company a year). It is with the state for approval now; we tell you the day it is listed. An employee who took the same or similar training under an earlier grant waits five years from that grant's closeout before the state funds it again. The program's own guidelines.
