The Slack conversation kit

This kit will give an assistant working inside Slack its manners: short replies, thread continuity, consent before it acts.

When you copy and paste, the assistant reads the instructions and the test scenarios and waits. Nothing connects to Slack until you set that up yourself.

What is in the kit

REVIEW-FIRST.txt: a review-only prompt that asks your assistant whether the kit would help you. It stops at an assessment.
CONNECT-SLACK.txt: a separate prompt for checking an existing Slack connection or for guided setup. Use it only if you choose to.
slack-protocol/SKILL.md: the core instructions for the assistant, with more detail in a references folder.
TEST-SCENARIOS.md and TEST-RESULTS.md: an acceptance checklist and a blank record of live tests, marked NOT RUN.
CLAUDE-REVIEW.md: instructions for an independent review. A review does not authorize setup.
slack-protocol/SOURCES.md, LICENSE and slack-protocol/LICENSES/: where the material comes from, and the full MIT notices.

Version 1.1, October 18, 2026. There are no executable scripts and no passwords or tokens. The kit cannot create a Slack app, grant access or subscribe to events. No live test has been run.
