The photo review kit
This kit will turn a folder of full-size JPEG exports into a CSV inventory and numbered contact sheets, originals untouched.
When you copy and paste, the assistant reads the kit, asks for the folder, runs the inventory and shows you the sheets. Nothing moves, renames or uploads.
What is in the kit
photo-review/scripts/photo_review.py: the Python script. It works without an AI assistant or an account.photo-review/SKILL.md: an optional skill, with instructions for an AI assistant to run the same script, explain the report and keep the photographer in charge of the edit.- What the script writes:
manifest.csv, one row per JPEG with its dimensions, file size, capture date when available, profile presence, a focus index, a near-white percentage and any read error;contact_sheets/, numbered pages that match the manifest; andsummary.txt, with counts and an explanation of the measurements. LICENSE: MIT.
Needs Python 3.10 or newer. The script reads .jpg and .jpeg files only, and does not move, rename, edit, delete, upload or rate the originals. The focus index and the near-white percentage are local measurements, not a verdict on focus or quality. Release v1.0.0.
The kit lives on GitHub: photo-review-kit.
